Bring Your Pup to the Patio: WWBG Welcomes Dogs
We have always been a dog-friendly patio.
Whitewater Bar & Grill sits on Highway 50 at the gateway to the Royal Gorge, and our outdoor patio is one of the most entertainment-packed in Colorado: sand volleyball courts, fire pits, axe throwing, cornhole, giant Jenga, horseshoes, a kids playground, and a live music stage on Saturday nights. Dogs on a leash are welcome on the outdoor patio for the full open season, and water bowls are provided.
What the Patio Looks Like with a Dog
- Leashed dog at your feet while you work on a half-pound Colorado-beef burger and a World Famous Gold Margarita.
- Shade structures across the patio for sun-bright afternoons.
- Fire pits for cool Royal Gorge evenings.
- A separate kids playground that keeps small humans busy while your dog naps.
- Live bands on the Saturday stage with no cover.
- Karaoke every Monday at 7 PM (starts first week of June, runs through the end of the season).
Coming Through After a Raft Trip
Most Royal Gorge raft takeouts put guests within 5 to 15 minutes of our parking lot on Highway 50. Free RV and bus parking. The patio does not care that you are damp from the river. It also does not care that you brought the dog.
Practical Notes
- Open seasonally April 17 through October 31. The patio is open the full season.
- Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio. Not inside the indoor dining room.
- Leashes required at all times.
- Water bowls are out. Bring food or treats if your dog is on a specific diet.
